Model development
Discipline models developed from approved project information to the detail and purpose agreed for the commission.
02 / Capabilities · 03
Coordinated models and structured information that make technical decisions easier to see.
Back to capabilitiesOverview
A shared model for coordinated technical information.
Tomy Engineering uses building information models to develop, combine, review, and communicate technical information across the disciplines included in the project scope.
Model purpose, responsibilities, information detail, exchanges, and outputs are agreed for each commission. BIM supports coordination; it does not replace the required design authority, review, or approval.
Standard BIM services
Models developed for an agreed purpose.
Discipline models developed from approved project information to the detail and purpose agreed for the commission.
Model information reviewed across relevant building disciplines to make interfaces and unresolved conditions visible.
Available discipline models combined into a coordinated review environment with identifiable versions and origins.
Plans, sections, elevations, details, and schedules derived from the model when included in the required deliverables.
Focused views prepared to communicate interfaces, spatial constraints, sequence questions, and required decisions.
Model observations and coordination items organized with context, ownership, status, and supporting views.
Coordination story
One model journey, six controlled states. Each exchange builds on identifiable information. Source, status, responsibility, and unresolved issues stay visible as the model moves toward its next approved use.

Agree the model purpose, information requirements, responsibilities, references, coordinates, and exchange milestones.
Develop the required geometry and information from approved inputs to the agreed project standard.
Federate available discipline information while retaining model origin, revision, and status.
Inspect interfaces, clearances, geometry, information completeness, and simple clashes relevant to the scope.
Record issues, assign the required response, and update coordinated information through the agreed review cycle.
Release models, drawings, reports, and issue records with a defined status and exchange history.
Clash coordination
Find simple conflicts before they become hidden site questions.
When included in scope, simple clash detection is used to identify relevant geometric conflicts and spatial interfaces within the available models. Findings can be issued with views, references, responsibility, and status for project-team follow-up.
A clash review reflects the models and rules available at the time. It is not a guarantee of a clash-free design, constructability approval, or replacement for discipline design checks.
Capability levels
Start with coordination. Extend only when the data supports it.
The standard service: model development, federation, documentation, coordination review, and controlled information exchange.
Standard scopeModel elements can be connected to a suitable programme to support construction-sequence review when the project information is ready.
Project-dependent optionModel information can support quantity and cost workflows when classification, measurement rules, model maturity, and commercial data are sufficient.
Project-dependent optionModel disciplines
Coordination across agreed building disciplines.
Discipline coverage and model detail are confirmed for each commission. Only models included in the agreed responsibility and information requirements are developed or reviewed.
Model quality & limitations
Known status is part of model quality.
Checks are performed against the agreed model purpose and available source information. Limitations, responsibilities, and information maturity remain explicit at every issue.
Information exchange
Define what enters the model and what must leave it.
